Forged Irons
About what handicap should a player have when hitting the x-forged irons?
It doesn't matter. If your swing is sound and repeatable- that's what's most important. Finding the sweet spot of the club is hard to do- that's why cavity backs are made bigger and thicker, to help correct those shots struck away from the head's center of gravity (by the way, the sweet spot doesn't grow or shrink depending on club head size or style- it stays the same, pin-point size regardless; it's simple physics concerning center of gravity location).
Forged blades have less forgiving properties- any shot struck away from the sweet spot will have a poor result. That's where the sound, repeatable swing comes in. If you can consistently hit the sweet spot, regardless of handicap, you can handle a blade.
