Golf Iron Forgiving

Is it true that callaway 18xr irons are more forgiving than taylormade r7s?

I am just getting back started to playing golf again and need a good set of clubs but not a pro set just one with a lot of forgivness bc im sure I will need that a lot. I recently went to dick's sporting goods and they told me the callaways were better for forgivness than the r7's.....is this correct??? if not what is????? Most info will be rewarded points.....thanks guys

With a score of 1040 X-18 irons fall under the "Ultra Game Improvement" category according to the Maltby Playability Factor. R7's score a paltry 632 and fall under the "Game Improvement" category.

So yes, that guy was correct, X-18's should be significantly more forgiving then the R7's.
