Beginner Golf Clubs??

I have been taking lessons for about a month and a half now and i want to get my own clubs. I have played on a course before and loved it. anyway, i want to know how i can see if i fit into adult clubs (I'm only 12). I'm 5'2" and can hit the ball with the driver about 200 yards (yeah i suck). I wanted to see if anyone could recommend a set of decent beginner clubs. I don't need all of the clubs, I just want Over sized Driver, 3 Wood, a Hybrid (recommended 4/5), 7-PW Iron Set, and a putter. I am willing to pay $180 or below (IT'S A BEGINNER'S SET COME ON!). I was checking this set out but it seems a little cheap to be true and its from KMart. http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_10104_9990000049204911P?mv=rr Please help again I am 5'2" and can hit the ball 200 yards with a driver (stop laughing).

First, 200 yards is pretty darned good for a 12-year old. And if you're hitting it straight, you're better of than someone who hits it 250 but doesn't know where it's going.

First thing: If you are indeed hitting it straight, then stay with that swing. No sense trying to kill it.

Second: I'd stay away from Kmart and Walmart. They're great for a lot of things, but not your clubs.

It's a little more than you want to spend ($220 on sale) but the problem with your age and size is that you're in that tweener group -- too big for good cheap junior stuff, and too small for full-on adult gear.

If you can't swing the extra $40 for that set, go to a golf discount place in your town. It's the best way to go, anyway, as someone will be there to make sure you get the right fit and clubs for your game.

Lastly: When it comes to balls, don't buy the hype. Expensive balls like Titleist ProV and others are great for great players. Most folks won't see the benefit from playing them. TopFlite used to make crap balls, but now Callaway owns 'em and they make great cheap balls. I play the "Gamer", but beginners like you would like "The Freak". Extra distance you'll appreciate, less spin so you won't hook or slice as bad (and until you're playing low handicap golf, extra spin won't help your game anyway.)

Okay...I said "last thing" but I lied: Here's the last thing: Pick up a copy of the rules of golf. Read it. Know it. And get real familiar with golf courtesy: Be quiet on the course, repair ball marks and divots, play fast and according to the rules. All that stuff matters to experienced golfers, and if it matters to you, you'll find a lot of people on the course who will respect you and help you with your game.
