Golf Iron Review

Golf shaft question. Rifle vs TC?

I currently have the Flighted Project X 6.0 in my Mizuno irons. I've been wanted to get the True Temper TC shafts but they only come in Stiff and X-stiff. I'm pretty sure I swing too hard for stiff but I'm not sure about X-stiff. If it was you that was getting these shafts, would you soft step them or just leave them how they are? Any reviews on these irons are greatly appreciated. The website for them is www.tttourconcept.com.
I have 6.0's now which are a step above stiff which is the 5.5 frequency. The TC shafts are steel with an anti glare coating. It comes in blue, silver, and green

I think depending on the tip parallel on the True Temper TC shafts you could get stiff shafts and tip them, and that will increase the stiffness. This works for driver shafts as I have a tipped UST Proforce V2 in my driver (I needed it tipped because of the stiffness that I needed, but it would have had to be tipped anyway because of my driver's bore-thru hosel). I'm not sure if you can do this with irons though...

Also, they make Project X and Project X Flighted shafts in 6.5 frequency, so in between stiff and x-stiff. That means you could just get the set of shafts and put them in without soft stepping them or tipping them. It may be a bit expensive to get the 6.5 frequency shafts though...I don't think they're that common. You would have to order them or go to a specialized distributor.

P.S. Are the True Temper TC shafts graphite or steel? On the website it kinda looks like they are graphite, but have steps. Are they steel with a coating on them to reduce glare? Same idea as the KBS wedge shafts?
