Golf Irons Driving Distances

golf club distance?

can anyone tell me what the average distance that each club should drive ball: driver-
3 wood-
5 wood-
4 iron-
5 iron-
6 iron-
7 iron-
8 iron-
9 Iron-
pitch w-
sand w-
4 hybrid-

This is an estimate for amateur golfers:
driver- 240 yds
3wood - 220 yds
5wood - 200 yds
4iron - 180-190 yds
5iron - 170-180
6iron - 160-170
7iron - 150-160
8iron - 140-150
9iron - 130-140
pitch W 115-125
sand w 90-110

4 hybrid - 190

Add or subtract 5-7 yards depending on your strength. If you are stronger than average add 5yds. If you have less strength than average subtract a few yards.

This strength factor only applies to amateurs though. The real factor in how far you hit it is ball contact!!!
