Golf Irons Fit
Is it too late to get my golf clubs fitted?
I bought my clubs about two years ago and have been playing with them since. I am about a 15 HC. Is it too late to get my irons fitted to me? Should I just wait until I either get better or need a new set?
Are your clubs forged?
If they are, they might be able to be fitted to your specs. Forged clubs can be bent.
Injection cast clubs are harder to bend and are more brittle. They are not recommended to be bent.
A good bet would to ask a local club fitter, either at a course or a golf smith type store. Take a club so they can look at it.

The Key Golf Trainer $34.95 The Key -- Golf Swing Trainer The right hand for right handed players can be a good golf friend or a swing destroying enemy. It all depends on how one uses it. Ben Hogan once commented that he wished he "had two right hands", providing of course his left one arrived first. That?s what the Key makes possible. It positions the right hand correctly, similarly to Hogan?s, thus helping provide the delayed hit for greater distance and more consistent accuracy. Correct right hand release, aided by the Key, also discourages both fat and thin shots with the irons. Even putting and chipping benefits as the right hand becomes correctly positioned. The Key is pre-bent to fit the wrist position of most hands. One of the Key?s distinct advantages, however, is that it is malleable and can be adjusted to fit any hand. Of all the important points about this outstanding product, don't overlook the fact that The Key is the ONLY wrist brace on the market that is both adjustable, and does not restrict your fingers! The player retains full manual dexterity, but is discouraged from forcing the shot with the right side. When using the Key, start by hitting short pitch shots of 40-60 yards to get the feel of how the body rotation provides the power rather than the hands. Gradually increase the swing length until you are hitting full shots. The Key is pre-bent at the factory to a setting of 50 degrees. You may adjust the bend if desired when hitting full shots. The Key may also be used on the left hand for feeling solid impact for either the chip, pitch, putt or full swing. You can accomplish this by bending the unit back to level and slightly beyond to about 10 degrees beyond straight so it encourages the left wrist to be slightly convex.
