I am a beginner in the game of golf and i am looking to save up for a complete set of clubs i know what kind of driver,fairway woods, putter, and bag but i need to know which set of irons i need. The Iron Sets that i am looking at are the Callaway Big Bertha diablo edge iron and hybrid set 3h, 4h, 5h, 6-pw,sw. and the other set that i am looking at is the nike forged iron and hybrid set 2h, 3h, 4h, 5-pw blades if anyone has never seen the nike forged blades go to this site,

If you are beginner, stay away from those nike irons, in fact stay away from anything Tiger Woods uses because he is at a totally different level of golf to you (and indeed many of us), and unless you have money to burn, get a used set of Callaway Big Berthas from a couple of years back. Callaway have a pre-owned store where you can pick up a good set with the peace-of-mind of having a warranty and support.

Get lessons, Learn to hit your irons (specifically the mid to short irons; 6-9) before you worry about replacing longer irons (3-5) with hybrids, or worrying about a driver or fairway woods - they can come later when you have some swing basics.

As most sets include a pitching- and sand-wedge, these will usually be decided for you, worry about changing the wedges once you've got better.

Get a putter that feels comfortable for you (dont worry about the brand or the look, its all about the feel), and while you're still getting tuition, take a lesson on putting too.
