what does it mean when a golf club is model 52?
my friends boss gave him a new set of clubs that were executive brand and on the sand iron it was engraved model 52 northwestern and what does this mean exactly?
52 might be the loft (face angle) of the club. 52° is a bit high for a sand wedge, which typically run from 54° to 56°. It could just be an arbitrary model number.
Northwestern is the manufacturer and means that they were made by a now out of business company that was known for their low quality clubs, frequently found at WalMart, Kmart, and Montgomery Ward.
